Connection between Nose-Picking & Dementia

Researchers at Australia's Griffith University showed that a certain type of bacteria can travel through the olfactory nerve in the nose. The brain responds by deploying a protein that's a tell-tale sign of Alzheimer's and dementia. This study used mice but scientists want to see if it's the same in humans.
