The company wants to help nurses, doctors, cafeteria workers, firefighters and anyone else who is essential in helping Chicago stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic find in-home child care. SitterCity will help these parents find credible teachers or daycare providers to keep their children while they are at work.
Chicago's essential workers won't have to pay a dime to the website for helping them find someone to watch their children. SitterCity is doing this good deed in partnership with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
It is up to the actual sitter if they want to watch Chicago's essential workers' children for free.
