Jussie Smollett is back in the news. Special prosecutor, Dan Webb, has indicted the former "Empire" actor on six counts in connection with the alleged attack that took place in Streeterville in January of 2019.
Initially Smollett was charged with 16 counts of felony disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to the police about the alleged attack. Reports say Smollett staged the entire thing, but the charges were eventually dropped.
With Smollett facing 6 new charges of filing 4 separate false police reports, Webb released a statement saying Smollett was indicted,"related to his false claims that he was the victim of a hate crime, knowing he was not the victim of a crime."
Smollett must turn himself in for his arraignment on February 24th.
