We are still praying for the family, close friends and fans after the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter and the 7 others that lost their lives!
It has been announced that there will be a public memorial for all of them at the Staples Center on February 24th. Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester and Payton Chester were on board the helicopter along with Ara Zobayan, who was the pilot, when it sadly crashed on the morning of January 26th in California. They were all headed to a basketball game for the Mamba girls' basketball team.
When the mayor of Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garrett, spoke out about the pubic memorial he said," I think one message that I would say is that it’s not just about a man who was a basketball player, this is about a father, this is about a leader, this is about a filmmaker, this is about an artists, this is about somebody who was so much more than just how he was on the court.”
All of the details have not been released yet, but it is believed that the memorial for the victims will be held in the same fashion as other icons who have been memorialized at the Staples Center.
