South Suburban College is expanding!
The South Holland college will receive $35.8 million in state funding to help build a training center for students wanting to study registered nursing, nursing assistants, community healthcare workers, emergency medical technicians and medical records and medical coding specialists.
It will also provide new educational programs in fields such as dental hygiene, respiratory technician, physical therapy assistant, patient care technician and more.
The new project is estimated to cost about $70 million.
