Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois is planning to open a new center on the South Side where a former Target used to be.
The insurance company announced that the new center will bring 550 jobs openings and will be located in Morgan Park at 119th Street and Marshfield Avenue.
Reports say part of the new facility will be for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois offices, but another part will be to help people in the community. It will offer free yoga and even nutrition classes for everyone, not just people with Blue Cross health insurance.
The facility is set to open next year.
