Less than 48 hours after rupturing his Achilles tendon, Kevin Durant is recovering from surgery and wishing his team well.
Check out his post above.
The Golden State Warriors player re-injured himself in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Durant had been out for the previous 9 playoff games trying to heal from a calf strain. Just 12 minutes after he stepped back on the court from that strain, he ruptured his Achilles tendon.
In Durant's Instagram post above, he explains why he decided not to sit out the rest of the season, but chose instead to play in Game 5. His mother also took to Twitter to show her love and support for her son. Check the post out below.
Reports say Durant could be out for an entire season before he is able to play basketball again.
