King College Prep principal, Melanie Beatty-Sevier has put new dress code in place to "prevent sexual abuse" since there are cases that have been taking place in CPS in Chicago. She said, "the dress code, as we already stated, there has been sexual abuse cases throughout the city of Chicago. These things are put in place to, why, why should we allow students to dress provocatively?"
Many parents were outraged because they claim what she said blames young women for advances that may be made toward them.
Her response? That's what she believes and that the dress code.
