Chicago area students won big over the weekend at the 40th national ACT-SO competition, held July 12-15, in San Antonio, Texas and brought home six national medals.
ACT-SO is the acronym for Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics. Students competed in local competitions and if they won gold, they qualified for the National competition in Texas.
