A 14-year-old teen from the South Side of Chicago has just graduated with her master's degree in environmental engineering. Named after her Grandmother who was Alderwoman of the 3rd ward & worked as a Civil Rights Activist Dorthy Jean Tillman, along with her mother Jimalita Tilman whom she credits with giving her motivation. Tillman has received her master's degree from Unity College in Maine in Environmental studies. Tillman took high school modules after school, and was able to stay home while getting her degree through distance learning programs. She is currently writing a book about her life, as well as working closely to help build Stem lab for girls in South Africa. Congratulations on a Job well done. Change the world Dorothy.
