A new federal judge is taking over court-ordered reforms of the Chicago Police Department. Judge Robert Dow set in motion a federal consent decree in 2019 that ordered CPD to make sweeping reforms following the deadly police shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald. Judge Rebecca Pall-meyer is stepping in to oversee the process. Dow is taking a position as counselor to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. For more details, click on link below:
