The U.S. is filled with stunning locations that appeal to locals and travelers alike. These destinations are often so breathtaking that they become tourists attractions and go on to be considered world-renowned sites.

Illinois is specifically known for its local wonders, but what lands these glorious destinations on a list of the most beautiful places in the nation?

Be it originality, cultural significance, breathtaking architecture, or natural beauty, something about the locations we're going to discuss today set them apart from other popularly visited spots across the country.

According to a list compiled by House Beautiful, the most beautiful place in Illinois is Chicago.

Other locations on the list of the "most beautiful place in the United States you need to visit asap" include New York City, Kerry Park in Seattle, and Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, to name a few.
