The family of Tyre Nichols has issued a response after the City of Memphis filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit in connection to his death. Nichols died following a beating by Memphis police officers. His family filed a civil lawsuit naming those officers, additional officers, three EMTs, the city and Police Chief CJ Davis. The city had filed a motion to dismiss the 550-million-dollar suit against the city, the chief and a former officer.
