Study: Obesity Causes Irreversible Brain Changes

A new study says obesity could cause damage to the brain that's irreversible. Published in the journal Nature Metabolism, the study's authors say their goal was to look at the gut-brain connection. Harvard Medical School professor Dr. Caroline Apovian said "the brains of people with obesity continued to lack the chemical responses that tell the body, 'OK, you ate enough,'" with no signs of reversibility.
