South suburban Dixmoor is breaking ground today on a project that will address the village's water system. Over the last two years, at least three water mains have broken. The funding for the project was announced in April 2022. Officials in attendance at the groundbreaking include Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Congresswoman Robin Kelly, and Dixmoor Mayor Fitzgerald Roberts.
