The CDC is warning the public of an increase in drug-resistant bacteria called Shigella. The agency is issuing a health advisory, saying it's hard to treat certain drug resistant strains and it's easily transmissible via sex, surfaces, or contaminated food and water. Symptoms can include fever, abdominal cramping, and diarrhea that's bloody.
