On Friday, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced that "expired driver's licenses, ID cards, and learner's permits will remain valid until December 1, 2022, so customers do not need to rush into Driver Services facilities." This would push back the expiration date from July 31, 2022, to December 1, 2022. Online renewals are also available for expired driver's licenses and ID cards, as eligible members will receive a PIN code.
