Illinois Tollways go cash-free, permanently

Tollway drivers never have to worry about change or cash on the tollway

The Illinois Tollway has announced it will only accept cash-free payment from now on, and now move it on a permanent basis since going to a to touch-free payment since the pandemic first began. Payments can now be made withI-PASSorE-Zpass transponders, or online, Drivers will have a 14-day grace period to pay their tolls until they are given a fee of $3.00 help is also available to low-income drivers this program will launch in May and waive deposits on I-PASS transponders as well as add $20 in tolls to those who have no income or 250% above the poverty line.
