Gov. JB Pritzker has issued new guidelines for large gatherings in public spaces as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state climbs to 32.
Pritzker has recommended that all public gatherings and community events that are expected to attract 250 people or more be canceled or postponed. The governor mandated events of 1,000 or more people be canceled or postponed immediately.
32 in Illinois have tested positive In Chicago, a woman in her 40s and a child are among the new cases announced Thursday. Two women in their 70s and a man in his 50s were also confirmed in Cook County.
