Former CPD Superintendent speaks out after being fired

Earlier this week, Former CPD Superintendent, Eddie Johnson was fired by Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Now Johnson has released a formal statement.

Mayor Lightfoot fired Johnson from his position effective immediately on Monday. He was set to retire in less than a month. She criticized Johnson for many thing including lying to her and the public about the night he was found slumped over the wheel of his police-issued SUV at a stop sign near his home in Bridgeport.
