Aretha Franklin had nearly $1 million in uncashed checks when she passed according to new documents. Among the checks was a check from Sound exchange for $702,711.90 the Screen Writers Guild and $285,944.27 in checks from her publishing company and many more. This was not the first time the Queen of Soul hadn’t cashed checks, some were dated back to 2012 & were reissued in 2016.
