A suspected case of measles is being reported in Cook County. The case was confirmed by the Illinois Department of Public Health last Wednesday. It involved an unvaccinated individual who was exposed internationally. The IDPH is working with Chicago to identify potential exposure locations in the U.S. Prior to this case, the last measles case in Illinois was identified in 2019.
