A top aide to Governor JB Pritzker is named the head of the host committee for next year's Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Christy George will be responsible for raising between 80 and 100 million dollars for the presidential convention. She is currently Pritzker's first assistant deputy governor for budget and economy. The DNC is scheduled to take place on August 19th through the 22nd at the United Center.
