Neuralink has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to conduct its first, in-human clinical study of a brain implant. The neurotech startup co-founded by Elon Musk says the implant could help severe paralysis patients regain their ability to communicate. Patient recruitment for the clinical trial is not open yet.
