The NAACP is warning African-Americans to stay away from Florida. Over the weekend, the advocacy group issued a formal travel advisory for the state. The organization cites what it calls the governor's aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict DEI programs in Florida schools. The NAACP also says Florida is openly hostile toward African-Americans, people of color and LGBTQ-plus individuals.
