Fewer white eight-year-olds are being diagnosed with autism than their Black counterparts. That's according to new data from the CDC. About two-and-a-half percent of white kids that age were diagnosed with autism compared to just below three-percent of Black eight-year-olds. Overall, one in 36 children who were eight-years-old had autism spectrum disorder.
