The years-long construction of the Kennedy Expressway begins tonight. The seven-and-a-half mile stretch of Chicago highway is expected to cause severe delays for the foreseeable future. The work is slated to run through at least the fall of 2025. Chicago commuters are advised to adjust their planned travel time or, if possible, work remotely.
