Gate Of The Exonerated Named For Central Park Five Being Unveiled

The "Gate of the Exonerated" is being unveiled today in New York City's Central Park. A northern entrance of the park is being named for the group known as the Central Park Five, with "Gate of the Exonerated" inscribed in sandstone. The five Black and Latino men were teens when they were wrongfully convicted in the assault and rape of a white female jogger in 1989 and spent years in prison before being exonerated in 2002
