The Federal Reserve has said that a 2022 recession is possible. If a recession does occur, it may unlike any other. According to this Wall Street Journal article, nearly all U.S recessions experience a decreasing GDP with an increasing unemployment rate; however, in 2022, the GDP is decreasing, yet unemployment is going down.
