According to Consumer Reports in 2021, debt collectors will be able to contact you via social media. In addition to phone calls, emails, and text messages, debt collectors will be able to send you collection notices on social media platforms.
With this new rule finalized by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, debt collectors are allowed to call debtors up to seven times per week, and send unlimited text messages, and emails. Read more on the new report HERE.
