A 22 year old woman from Ljubljana, Slovenia, cut off her hand with a circular saw just to file a disability claim stating that it was an accident, while she was cutting branches. She did not act alone, her boyfriend reportedly had at least five insurance policies on the woman that totaled around $1.16 million. This is not the craziest part, when she went to the hospital she left the hand at home hoping it could not be re- attached. GOOD NEWS! Doctors were able to attach it, after an investigation they found the boyfriend was on the computer doing a search on how to live with an artificial hand. She is now facing 2 years in Jail, the boyfriend received 3 years.
