Illinois will extend the unemployment benefit for another 20 weeks.
The department of employment made the announcement Wednesday, confirming that Illinois along with 19 other states will extend benefits for another 20 weeks. Thousands of residents have filed for the first time this year as a result of the pandemic. Read more on the extension HERE.
