Services celebrating the life of Reverend Dr. Clay Evans set

The legendary Rev. Dr. Clay Evans passed away Wednesday, November 27th at the age of 94.

Not only did Rev. Evans found Fellowship Missionary Baptist Chicago in 1950, he was also a civil rights leader. He worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King and Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Rev. Evans was also an evangelical broadcaster, a gospel music icon and known for ordaining the first female in the Baptist denomination in Chicago, Mother Consuella York. The late reverend also help launch nearly 100 ministerial careers of pastors we know and love today including, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Pastor Charles Jenkins and many more!
