UChicago Medicine nurses not allowed to return to work after strike yet

Friday, September 20th, the nurses from University of Chicago Medical Center who were striking for the hospital to provide better staffing aren’t able to return to work just yet.

More than 2 thousand nurses took part in the strike and when some of them went to return to work on Saturday, they were sent home. Officials say that since so many nurses were on strike they had to get replacement nurses and will allow them at least 5 days of work.

Reports say all nurses who went on strike Friday won’t be able to return to work until Wednesday.
