After 19 years, Dorothy Brown will not seek reelection to continue to serve as Cook County Circuit Court Clerk.
Brown says she is ready to take on a new challenge. She has served as record-keeper of the county's court system since 2000. While there is a federal probe into pay to play allegations in her office right now, Brown says that has nothing to do with her decision to leave office.
