Kelly Price explains why she wanted to be a judge on Sunday Best

While Kelly Price was hesitant when she started her R&B career, she has no doubt in her mind that she is more than qualified to be a judge on Sunday Best.

While Price may not be a full-fledged gospel artist like the other 2 judges on Sunday Best, Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds, Price says she has deep ties to the church. She is a preacher's kid and the granddaughter of a bishop. Her mother was also a choir director. Price believes that God placed her in R&B to reach out to people in other areas of life. She also says that God isn't just in the lives of gospel artists, but in the lives of many hip-hop, rap and R&B artists.

Price was excited about Sunday Best's new look and to be a part of it as a new judge.
