Kirk Franklin has checked another dream off his bucket list. He has created a music camp for kids. It's free & is call Camp Lotus. Franklin wanted to named the camp after the flower that grows out of muddy and mirky environments, but in the end turns into a beautiful flower.
The Grammy and Stellar award winning artist says creating Camp Lotus has been a dream of his for awhile. Franklin wanted to create a safe space for children like himself who felt overlooked or misunderstood, but could still hear a song in their head telling them it will get better.
After a week long camp, Franklin put on a free recital for the ids to showcase their talent!
