Mayor Lori Lightfoot has announced the launch of the new community policing initiative.
It is designed to help strengthen the relationship between the police and local businesses and communities in Chicago. There will now be a business liason officer in the 22 police districts in the city. The officer will work with the businesses in that community and the district commander to establish ways to better police and community relationships.
