Mayor Lori Lightfoot is showing Alderman Ed Burke that she means business and is calling for his resignation.
The 75-year-old once powerful alderman is charged with racketeering and bribery.
Mayor Lightfoot says, "We cannot move forward and tackle the tough challenges that we face when we have individuals in elected office who are alleged to have engaged in criminal conduct."
