Illinois Supreme Court To Rule This Week On Eliminating Cash Bail

The Illinois Supreme Court will rule this week on whether to eliminate cash bail in the state. The state's Supreme Court heard arguments in March from lawyers over the controversial provision of the landmark SAFE-T Act. A Kankakee County judge ruled in December that removing cash bail is unconstitutional. The state's high court is expected to file its ruling tomorrow morning.
