The Coronavirus has been the cause of several events being canceled and now the upcoming St. Patrick's Day festivities in Chicago have joined the list.
Reports say that the festivities are now canceled. Officials made the announcement today, March 11th.
Governor JB Pritzker says, "Boston and Dublin have both cancelled their St. Patrick's Day celebrations and so I think that's some guidance from other places. My own view, I will just say is, I want to keep people safe and I think we have to follow the guidance that medical experts give us."
As of right now, there are 25 Coronavirus cases in Illinois.
