Happy Heavenly Birthday to Rosa Parks!
The civil rights activist was born on February 4, 1913 and would have been 107-years-old. At the age of 42, she refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus to a white person. Parks said that her refusal wasn't because she was phsically tired, but she was tired of giving in.
The incident sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which lasted for 381 days. It ended with the Supreme Court ruling that segregation on public transit unconstitutional.
Parks passed away in 2005 at the age of 92.
