If you use Uber or Lyft to get around the city, prices are going up.

Single riders will have at least an additional $1.25 tax added to their tab and it’ll add at least 60 cents for all shared riders. This is all due to the new congestion tax.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot says the tax helps address the congestion downtown and encourages shared rides throughout the city.
