Next month a documentary will be released on the teen who was shot and killed by officer Jason Van Dyke.
Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times by Van Dyke in 2014. Several years passed by before the former officer saw the inside of a courtroom to face the repercussions of his actions. Van Dyke was eventually convicted of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery back in October. He was sentenced to less than 7 years in prison and was Chicago's first patrolman to be convicted of murder in almost 50 years.
The name of the documentary is "16 Shots." It's all about the shooting death of McDonald and airs June 14th on Showtime.
