As a result from a car accident that took place over 40 years ago, 70s star and doctor Danielle Spencer has had to have emergency surgery. A hematoma from that car accident ruptured causing hemorrhage. She is recovering now, but no other details on her condition have been released.
Danielle was part of the cast of the 1970s sitcom "What's Happening" and she was the first black female to be a series regular on a sitcom.
