Hundreds of hotel employees are on strike this morning as they are demanding higher paid and better benefits. Many are saying they are often laid off. They have gathered at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago, but employees are displaying where they are employed on their picket signs. Many Local 1 workers have expiring contracts this year.
