In his first speech since leaving office, former president, Barack Obama gave a speech in honor of the 100th celebration of Nelson Mandela's birth. In his speech Obama spoke about equality and how it should be reflected in all forms. Additionally, he made some comments, presumably about President Trump stating that "those in power seek to undermine every institution ... that gives democracy meaning."
Nelson Mandela spent 27 years imprisoned, but worked hard as an anti-apartheid revolutionary, who after spending those years in jail became South African president.
