Gospel artists have to be careful as they are now being targeted in hacking scams on social media. Briana Babineaux went on to share screenshots of Instagram "attempting to verify" information to make her a confirmed artist on the site (the blue checkmate that appears on verified accounts).
With over 500,000 followers, Bri said she logged on successfully. but after a few minutes, the hacker had taken over her account.
Instagram has said that they never ask for personal information ad if you receive e-mails there are things you can do to avoid being hacked, such as checking the sender's address, or any misspellings in the body of the e-mail.
