Gov. Pritzker Announce a $900M COVID-19 relief for Businesses & Communities

Governor JB Pritzker made the announcement that a $900 million support package that will provide relief to businesses and communities impacted by COVID-19. Housing assistance program package with $150 million going to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and $150 million going toward the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program. These programs will launch some time in August, The Emergency Rental Assistance Program will also have a $5,000 grant to tenants who can't pay rent because of COVID-19, with 30,000 renters receiving support through the end of the year. The Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program will give approximately 10,000 homeowners a grant of up to $15,000. The Governor has also extended the eviction ban until July 31
