Lincoln University Professor Dr. Aqeel Dix had a very dedicated student by the name of Imani Lamarr. She was a very dedicated student who's dream it was to go to an HBCU. She came back to school after taking a semester off due to having her child who was premature and stayed in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The Childs name is Christopher Murphy who she'd named after her father and was her EVERYTHING. When Lamarr asked to miss class one day due to not being able to find a babysitter. Dr. Dix's answer was a stern no and told her to bring Christopher to class with her. He explained to her no student will be able to miss class due to not being able to have a babysitter and stuck to every word he said. Lamarr is now a few months from graduating with Dix as her mentor and a very healthy 2 year old son.
